We got picked up by fan_wank and one commenter got hit by a rude, pointless comment, which I immediately deleted. I've also frozen all the threads, so I hope y'all were done. *g*

Oh, in case my rules aren't clear: rude comments are acceptable, but they have to have a point. That is, "Only somebody stupid would be in favor of (fill in the blank)," is acceptable. "You're stupid," is not. Though I would prefer more creativity. [ETA: and more lucidity, since I had to go back and edit my example.]

By the way, I wasn't able to comment on the wank, so I'll tell you what I was going to tell them. In the synopsis of what transpired, one line read something like, "Most of merricatk's friend commiserated with her." I'm not sure which one of you has been singled out as my friend, but I'd like to think that whoever you are, all of you was commiserating, not just most of you. Or maybe you were multitasking! "Yeah, I'm watching Criminal Minds and commiserating with my friend Merricatk."

They also spelled my name wrong once, and I found some other typos. Really, if you're going to ridicule other people, you need to at least proofread. That's just basic.

Oh, didn't you know we're all the same person? I read it all yesterday. Somehow, we have been able to morph into multiple bodies (yours substantially thinner than mine and located across the country). It's the Einstein Podolsky Rosen effect, I'm thinking. And yet somehow we're paranoid and they aren't? ;)

I ignored them when it got really ludicrous. The first attack was so ridiculous, I thought she had to be my stalker troll. I thought no one sane would keep track of a six month old blog post, especially one that was called for. Apparently, she's a friend of the person who made the review to which I responded and it's well known fact that writers are not allowed to defend themselves. We're just supposed to duck and cover. It's all part of the sense of entitlement of writers (we're entitled to be pummeled by stupid reviews).

I don't know who any of them are and I wish they'd return the favor.

Since a lot of the wank was sportshoes-centered, I've unsubscribed to the comm. This is very sad since I was one of the very first writers in that fandom and I have great respect for the series, but I'm in email contact with all the writers whose work I enjoy in the fandom so c'est la vie.

It *is* sad, since you belong there far more than any of them. Though I'm about the only one who ever posts now, and when I do it's to link to a story on my LJ. But if something exciting happens, I'll be sure to tell you.

I LOVE your new icon! I want icons. I only have an old one that sorta refers to me being an autumn person/poet. Plus Halloween is my favorite holiday.

This icon now gives you the right to go out and howl your two minute warning at the stars anytime. A good thing to do anyway before jumping into any 'fray.'

Halloween is my older sister's birthday (a weird number of us were born on holidays -- I was born on Christmas).

I'm going to ignore them if at all possible. They're all doing things for their own situations. Sucks to be them I suppose. I wish they'd stop obsessing on poor merricatk.

Thank you! I forgot to mention, the also left my title off--the one where I state that I'm an emotionally unbalanced fan. I'm guessing this is so they can *call* me unbalanced, as though that's somehow an insult. "Why, yes. Yes, I am. See, I wrote it here before you ever heard of me."

Morons.
