I'm also a professional writer and publisher. I like writing both fan fic and money fic. The creator of one of the biggest cult shows on TV right now is a full-fledged fan fiction writer. She's also an old friend of mine. The crap I've heard about the TV industry makes fandom seem like a haven of gentle souls by comparison. Anywhere that people are, there will be politics. It's part of the system.
