Lately my mind has been more lacking in focus than usual, at least in terms of writing. I have stuff going through my head when I'm doing other things, but when I sit down at the computer . . . I play games.

So! I'm going to start this new year with a challenge to myself, something I seem to be able to write pretty easily, and have fun with: crossovers.

Below is a list of the fandoms I feel comfortable writing in. Pick two--or more--(but don't go crazy and pick the whole list)--and I'll write you a story. Be as detailed as you like, pick specific characters if you want, scenarios, what-have-you.

Angel, Bones, Buffy, Burn Notice, The Closer, Damages, Dark Shadows, House, Leverage, Psych, Starsky & Hutch, Stephanie Plum (book series), Twin Peaks, Wiseguy, The X Files

Sonny Steelgrave is approached by The Evil Mayor from Buffy. Evil Plans are involved; Sonny and Vinnie are both very wary of the Mayor, but Sonny is willing to negotiate, even so. Then Vinnie gets some inside information... how will he manage to get Sonny out of this mess? And should he even try?

Carlton Lassiter is involved in a murder investigation with Brenda Leigh Johnson and her team. (I like Shawn too, but he tends to take over every scene he's in, and I'd like Lassiter to have a chance to do his thing without Shawn's meddling. *g*)

I want to see Vinnie run into Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks, and Dale and he hit it off and are very alike. Vinnie's past is revealed and lo and behold Dale knows Sonny Steelgrave...from the Black or White Lodge and is the one to tell Vinnie (who thinks Sonny's dead) that Sonny is still alive. Vinnie and Dale rescue Sonny from the Lodge and of course it must be Sonny/Vinnie WITH a happy ending. This story could have some very good dream/dialog, too, since the Lodge is like a dream. The plot does not have to be detailed or long...just the set up for a good reunion between two people who realize they love each other more than life itself. And I like kind, not cruel, Sonny characterization, since I believe in my heart that Sonny would never be cruel to Vinnie. A "doppelganger" Sonny as a "trick" does not interest me as much in this idea. But play with the idea as you see fit.

Starsky & Hutch run into a some sort of curse that affects one of them (with S/H-type hurt/comfort ensuing), and it requires the services of Angel Investigations to solve the problem.

I'd love to see Mulder and Shawn cross paths and circle warily, trying to work out what makes each of them tick :-) Bonus for Lassiter/Skinner tussling for authority :-)
